An excerpt from FORBIDDEN ISLAND:
EXT. JUNGLE - DAY Nothing but brush. O'Brian, Suarez, Anna and some other armed Marines crash into FRAME. They call May's name as they go. ANGLE: Suarez emerges from the jungle, spots a single set of footprints leading up an immense black sand dune. SUAREZ Over here! The others join him, they start up the dune, following the footprints, weapons up and at the ready... Finally they reach the crest. They stand at the top of the dune, next to the large black granite rock, looking down and what they see puts a look of shock on their faces. O'BRIAN Anyone else seeing this? WHAT THEY SEE... below them, in a clearing of the dense jungle... a CLASSIC UP-SCALE SUBURBAN TWO STORY HOUSE complete with a lawn, mailbox, and white picket fence. No road leads to it. Nothing but sand around it. As if it fell from the sky. O'Brian, Suarez, Anna and the Marines reach the bottom of the dune and cautiously head toward the perfectly manicured front lawn of the house. As they get nearer, they hear MUSIC, wafting faintly toward them. Chet Baker, the 1954 recording of My Funny Valentine. CHET BAKER My funny valentine, sweet comic valentine, you make me smile... They climb the stars onto the front porch Nice and homey. Wicker chair and tables. A sweating pitcher of lemonade and two glasses on a tray. Electric fan. A glider swaying softly in the breeze as if someone had just left it. O'BRIAN Anyone here..? O'Brian walks slowly forward, weapon ready, sees a record spinning on an old fashioned record player. CHET BAKER Stay little Valentine, stay, stay, stay... As he reaches it, the needle sticks on the one word. CHET BAKER (CONT'D) Stay, stay, stay, stay O'Brian lifts the needle off the record. Silence. He looks out to Anna, waves her forward to join them when the screen door to the hour behind them abruptly opens with a screech of hinges. SUAREZ May? May (who they were searching for) sets out onto the porch. She smiles at them. Suarez steps forward to her, O'Brian right behind him. Anna approaches up the stairs. SUAREZ (CONT'D) What are you doing here, May? MAY (serene, childlike) This is my parent's house. The house I grew up in. SUAREZ How did you find it? MAY That was my dad's favorite record, it always skipped right there. O'Brian picks up an old magazine from a rack near the wall: all circa 1987. He shows it to Suarez. SUAREZ What the hell is going on?!A PHONE RINGS. Everyone jumps. Another ring. An old black phone on a small table by the wall next to a wicker chair and a rack of magazines. They look at each other. Only May, who sits on the glider, seems untroubled. The phone keeps ringing. O'Brian picks it up. He listens, a slight BREATHING on the other end but that's all. O'BRIAN (INTO PHONE) Who is this? VOICE ON OTHER END OF PHONE This is, this is, this is your house. O'BRIAN (INTO PHONE) Tell me who you are. VOICE ON OTHER END OF PHONE This is your house. The phone goes dead. O'Brian slowly sets it down. Follows the phone cord to the wall plug, then follows a phone wire that runs up the wall, across the porch roof and on out to the lawn to a telephone pole by the picket fence. He walks to the bottom of the pole, looks up and sees the phone line dangling. Not attached to anything...
