As many of our readers have been so kind to inform us, we at The 11th Hour just have to have an opinion on everything. Well, now it's your turn to tell us what you think -- about movies, television and the women and men who made it happen in the exciting genre battlefield that was 1999. Welcome to The 11th Hour Reader's Choice Awards, a truly democratic playing field in which Keanu battles for that Best Actor prize, "decapitation" is uttered in the same breath as "Best Picture" and latex really matters. As always, we welcome and value your opinions, and hope you will take the time to fill out the voting ballot below. (To help you along, we have provided this handy list of every sci-fi and horror movie and TV series of 1999.) Enjoy, tell your friends, but please read the rules before submitting!
The Rules: Failure to comply with these regulations will result in termination of your mortal existence by the 11th Hour Spork of Doom. We will also disregard your ballot.
- You may vote once and only once.
- Movies/TV series nominated must have aired or been released theatrically between January 1 and December 31, 1999.
- Nominations must be of a sci-fi/horror nature. We have provided a list of all films and shows that we believe qualify; if there have been any oversights, feel free to write in your own choices. However, nominations of a distinctly ungenre-y nature will be disqualified. (That means you, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo fans!)
- Leaving sections you have no opinion on blank is fine. Please note, however, that you can only send in your ballot once, and you can't go back and vote for them later.
- Voting is open until January 31, 2000. Votes received after that date will not be counted. Be sure to check for the results in our February issue!
The Reader's Choice awards are closed. Thanks for your interest, and check out the next issue for winners!
